Defence quota for Neet is not applicable for all the states of India. There are only 13 states in India which have Defence quota reservation for a particular field.

Every year NTA (National Testing Agency) conducts exam for the admission in MBBS, BDS, AYUSH & some other medical courses. 

Whereas, NEET is the main exam for the admission in MBBS and BDS. There are approximately 16 lakh students appear for the examination around 155 test centres.

Eligibility for NEET Exam 2021

Students appearing for the Neet examination in 2021 has to go through Eligibility for NEET Exam 2021. 

Recently, as per latest updates students with Indian, non-resident Indians, Overseas Citizen of India, Persons with Indian Origin, Foreign Nationals are eligible for the exam.

The minimum age of the candidate should be 17 years when you are applying for the NEET 2021. The Delhi high court changed the maximum age limit last year; the student greater than 25yr can also apply for the exam.

Students appearing in 12 class and pass out students can apply for the Neet examination 2021.

Candidates must have PCB(Physics, Chemistry, Biology) in their 12 class and students with additional Biology subjects are also eligible.

Students must have a minimum of 50% aggregate in their 12 class for general category. There is a relaxation of 5% - 10% for the PWD category students and SC/ST/OBC.

There are reserved seats for the children of defence personnel. The Ministry of defence organises the seats for the students appearing for medical or dental colleges. 

All these reserved seats are book under Government of India defence quota 2021.

The Number of seats available in 35 to 40 seats, which vary every year as per examination. 

For students appearing in dental colleges, there are 3-4 seats are reserved for defence children's of various categories personnel.

You will get the defence quota for neet examination based on the marks you have obtained in the entrance. 

Candidates must clear the minimum requirement marks, and apply within 25 days of NEET Result.

For this question, I want to say that defence person can be from any of the country's states, but he will be applicable to get a benefit of defence quota in these states only.

If there are like 20% of the reservation in any of the field, then the percentage of defence quota could be around .5%, or sometimes it may vary from 0.5% to 1%

Around 4-5 seats are always reserved for a defence quota in these states if there is an entrance or reservation of any field. The government took this friendly approach for the children of Indian soldiers.

To benefit from Defence quota in Neet or any medical entrance, you have to register for defence quota within 15days of entrance result.

This is applicable for both the students, whether their parents are still doing service or Ex-servicemen. There is one more thing you have to remember that is the seat allotments are based on priorities.

You have to fill an application for quota, and after filling all the necessary details, you have to do self-attested, and you have to upload it again. After that, you will get a confirmation regarding your application.
